StackTariff is operated by DevRig LLC, Wyoming, USA (the controller). This is a plain-English summary; it will be expanded into the full policy before any advertising or accounts go live.

Account-less by design

The free tools require no sign-up and store no personal data. Product descriptions you classify are processed to return a code and are not personal data. We don’t sell data, and there are no advertising cookies until (and unless) ads launch — at which point non-essential cookies will be blocked behind a consent banner you must opt into (GDPR + UK PECR).

What is processed, and why

• Transient request data (e.g. IP address) — processed by our CDN to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f).
• Product descriptions sent to the AI classifier — used only to return an HS-code suggestion; not personal data, not used to identify you.
• Your email, if you subscribe to the newsletter or submit a broker request — forwarded to our email/newsletter provider to send what you asked for, and not stored on StackTariff. Legal basis: consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); withdraw any time by unsubscribing.

Where data is hosted

User data is hosted in the EEA (Frankfurt). Our CDN and AI processor are US-based and operate under recognised transfer mechanisms (EU-US Data Privacy Framework / Standard Contractual Clauses) with data-processing agreements in place.

Sub-processors

Cloudflare (edge/CDN), Anthropic (AI HS classification — input is product descriptions, not personal data), Mailgun EU (broker-request email), and Beehiiv (newsletter delivery, only if you subscribe). This list is specific to StackTariff.
